Dire Prediction

In the last 30 months, 2000 American soldiers have died in the middle east. I predict that in half that time, 15 months, there will be double the deaths in the American military, or more simply put, that by February 2007, there will have been 6000 American deaths. One may ask, how can one make such a dire prediction? Simply, the insurgency in Iraq has been and will further be emboldend by current US foreign policy.

Utter Arrogance.............music later

Well, the administration's post indictment remarks seem to show the "denial" that I expected. I hope the grassroots anti-war movement will blossom as the now blatantly corrupt Bush presidency wilts and withers. The pundits supporting Bush remark how the original charge of outing a CIA agent, was not included in the indictments, but they fail to mention that this indictment could not be brought forth, since Libby's perjuries and false remarks are at the base of that particular indictment. Fitzgerald made it "perfectly clear" that his investigation will continue, so I expect, that eventually those indictments will indeed be issued. The administration's supporters, do not even address the obstruction of justice indictment, knowing full well, that this charge is the real achilles heel here. But the real outrage is the expected Supreme Court nomination, that will probably happen as early as Monday, an obvious attempt to" change the subject." Arrogance run amok.......................music later

Opinion's Power

The events surrounding the indictments of "Scooter" Libby, will undoubtably affect personal, public and world opinion on a variety of issues. The Bush doctrine of "Stay the Course," in my opinion, will continue US policy in Iraq as well as furthering the repercussions surrounding the debate about this war. The insurgency in Iraq will certainly be emboldened by todays events, furthering the quagmire within all areas of the Middle East, if not, throughout the world. I believe these events will, hopefully, enlighten the American people to build up an effective grass roots protest movement against this war, and encourage folks to consider what our government has been doing, lying to the world about it's justification for preemptive military action. In fact, new opinion will cause a much deeper focus on American policy in general. This is Power, or in reality the true backbone of what a "real" democracy is. Truth has seemingly been on the backburner now for half a decade, yet in one day, the Truth can refocus opinion to radically change the direction of our country........Yes, we are a free country, but freedom to be greedy has been dealt a severe blow today..............................music later

on Harriet Miers

It should be clear to most that the Bush Presidency is at it's weakest point if not dead. How unethical a process the Miers nomination was purveyed by the rigid right wing, and the "reason" given by the administration..."a reluctant acceptance of the Miers "resignation" by the president...and the thought that now the republican party can "mobilize" behind the president, underscores all of the recent government responses to disaster, war, international opinion, giving the left a myriad of points to thoughtful planning for the next fight. Yes it's always a fight nowadays, criticism running rampant, while Texan oil magnates line their pockets with working class dollars, and plan to install liquid natural gas depots in the Northeast.....................................music later
and Republicans, swear to almighty G_d, that their litmus test, has not been met....btw, what is the litmus test for original design. Are we stupid, drugged, lost etc?..All of the above and countless more....and without education..we as a nation will be lost....Send a couple airforce super troopers to pick up those stranded in Cancun.....rescue the elderly in southern Florida...has our 2005th death occured in Iraq to "commemorate" the current year?..........music later

Politics of course...music later

Just a thought about current politics, so that I may remove an unbearable anger that has been brewing in my mind over the last few months. Is education in the United States a priority, for our current administration, or if not, are our children's well-being a political priority? Do we as a country prioritize our freedoms in order to benefit the greater good, or do we instead, politicize our priorities for self-interest? I think by now, the answers to my questions here are particularly clear. The United States of America, mired in cronyism and special interests, have lost it's grip on basic human decency, dignity, even destiny, as responses to weather, war, and Wal-Mart(sic), emphasize a narrow minded world view that has other nations seething with disgust and disdane.
